How it works
- Enter your company, your customer and the items. VAT and totals are calculated for you.
- Click “Create e-invoice”. The XML is checked against the official EN 16931 rules in your browser.
- Click “Create Factur-X PDF” and send the PDF to your customer. Accounting software reads the embedded XML, people read the page.
What is a Factur-X PDF?
Factur-X is a hybrid e-invoice: a normal-looking PDF/A-3 file that carries the invoice data as an attached XML file named factur-x.xml, in UN/CEFACT CII syntax. Since ZUGFeRD 2.1 the German ZUGFeRD and the French Factur-X are technically identical, so the same file serves both countries. This generator uses the EN 16931 profile (called COMFORT in ZUGFeRD), which carries all line items and VAT details.
How was the PDF tested?
During development, generated files are checked with veraPDF for PDF/A-3b compliance and with the Mustang validator for the Factur-X structure. The visible page is drawn from the same XML that is embedded, so both always say the same thing. You remain responsible for the content of your invoices.
Limits
Only the EN 16931 profile is created. There is no digital signature and no logo upload yet. For public authorities in Germany use the XRechnung format instead.
